Congregation Mount Sinai is a caring, welcoming, and inclusive community with a Hebrew school committed to cultivating each child’s authentic relationship with Judaism. We aim to nurture and inspire positive Jewish engagement, respect for human and religious differences, and responsibility for the world in which we live. No matter your background – secular, religious, questioning, atheist – you and your children will love learning at Congregation Mount Sinai. With small classroom settings and individualized attention, we create an environment in which students can grow to their fullest potential and flourish as they immerse themselves in Jewish culture.

Class schedule:

Tuesdays & Thursdays – 3:30p-5:30pm – Grades 3-7

Thursdays – 3:30-5:30pm – pre-K to Grade 2

Our curriculum emphasizes Jewish thought, history, Hebrew language, holidays, and customs. In addition, we familiarize our students with traditional Jewish practices so that they feel comfortable in a variety of Jewish settings. Our educational methods focus on empowerment of students’ independent critical thinking, respect for diversity, and freedom of thought and belief. Students are actively involved in their own learning through open discussion, music, and art.

Our Hebrew School uses the acclaimed Tel Am program that ensures that students can will read Hebrew fluently at the completion of their Hebrew School experience. They also learn to read and write Hebrew and they gain confidence and familiarity with the Siddur (prayer book).
